Crystal Palace are set to be active in the January transfer market and fancy Danny Welbeck for £10m to solve their Christian Benteke-shaped goalscoring problem. Arsenal are willing to cash in as ‘Dat Guy Welbz’ is out of contract in the summer and they are already set to lose out on a transfer fee for Aaron Ramsey, set to join up with Ivan Gazidis at Milan.
Arsène Wenger, though, is not set to become manager of Milan. He even went as far as to describe stories linking him with replacing Gennaro Gattuso as “fake news”. Previous use of that accursed phrase probably means he is eyeing up a Milanese pad as we speak, and set to hook up with Ramsey again.
And if Chelsea do get some dough for RLC, they might spend it on Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson, just to keep Álvaro Morata on his toes?
Real Madrid may not getting in Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager but might finally be ready to cash in on Gareth Bale. Manchester United, of course, are the team linked with the Welsh wizard.
Should Bale end up at Old Trafford, he could be having pre-match meals at Hotel Football, as owned by Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, and directly opposite the stadium. That might stop United being late for matches, as has become their habit.
How might United find a dining space for Bale? Anthony Martial, despite being one of their best players of late, could join Inter at the end of his contract, expiring next summer. Eric Bailly, another player José Mourinho has not got on with this season, could become Martial’s neighbour by signing for Milan.

Everton and West Ham linked Shinji Kagawa could leave Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund winger Shinji Kagawa has struggled for regular game time this season, and the former Manchester United player will be allowed to leave the club either in January or next summer.
According to reports from Italian outlet CalcioMercato, the 29-year-old could leave the club, and the news should alert Premier League duo Everton and West Ham.
The reason being Kagawa was reportedly linked with a potential move to the above mentioned clubs. He has a contract at the club till 2020, and could be available for £11.5million.
The 29-year-old has managed just four appearances in all competitions this season, which means either Everton or West Ham can sign him at a much reduced price.
He has dropped down the pecking order at the club behind Marco Reus and teenager Jadon Sancho, and it seems there’s no way back for him in the high-flying Dortmund side at the moment.
Both Everton and West Ham bolstered their attacking midfield areas in the summer transfer window but Kagawa (if they can get at a decent price) would be a smart addition to the squad.

Marko Arnautovic and Pedro Obiang doubts for Huddersfield encounter

West Ham United will be looking to build upon their impressive 4-2 victory over Burnley at the weekend when they meet Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
However, it appears that Manuel Pellegrini and the Hammers could have an anxious wait on their hands.
According to Claret and Hugh, both Pedro Obiang and Marko Arnautovic have slight concerns and have been told to miss a couple of training sessions.
There is a suggestion that the pair could be available for the clash against the Terriers, however, a decision will not be made until the gameday itself.
“They are better than even money to make it for the weekend but they will miss a couple of days training this week and no decision will be made until the day of the match,” a well-informed source told Claret and Hugh.
Although it is believed the duo are expected to be available, the fact that a decision will not be made until the match will mean they will have an anxious wait on their hands.
Arnautovic is an important member of the team and carries the main attacking threat for West Ham this summer, however, he is known to have played through the pain barrier recently and is likely to do so again.
Obiang made his return to the side in the victory against Burnley, so the move to give him an extra rest period could just be a precautionary measure as they look to take three points from Huddersfield on Saturday.
